A Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights Act of 2008 (H.R. 5244) has been introduced in the Congress. This will give some more protection to consumers. However, financial experts are saying. The Bill if passed will have adverse effect on consumers. President of the American Bankers Association has expressed ‘serious concerns over this legislation. He says banks will tighten their rules for issuing credit cards and restrict the credit facility of consumers.
