Commentary: Pakistanis to decide Musharraf’s fate

The visiting US officials made a startling statement on Thursday. They said that the US would respect the decision taken by the new coalition government in Islamabad about Pervez Musharraf.
Does this indicate that US is ditching Musharraf?
Yes, it appears that the US has come under pressure after their meeting with government officials and leaders of coalition partners. They have bluntly told him that they would not support their policies.
Yesterday, the way these two officials try to justify their visit to Pakistan before local media people suggests that they have sensed the mood in Pakistan.
