Pakistani Student refuses Harvard Scholarship

According to news reports a Pakistani student, Samad Khurram, refused his Harvard University scholarship award presented to him by the U.S. ambassador Anne W. Patterson. The student refused to accept the scholarship as a mark of protest over U. S. attacks on Mohmand Agency. The U. S. ambassador regretted the attacks and termed them a 'misunderstanding'.
Hats off to Samad for his protest. This is perhaps the first civilized protest which we have seen from anyone one in Pakistan. Normally we tend to become violent and resort to arson and destroying of public property in order to register our protest.
