A report prepared by the Center for Strategic and International Studies stresses that Pakistan is vital for American National Security. It recommends that America should redefine its relationship with Pakistan for next five years, and should try developing a joint security and development program that benefit reach ordinary people, because majority of the assistance given to Pakistan goes to military. Pakistan only receives 10 percent direct cash transfer, which is not sufficient for development and humanitarian assistance. That’s why Pakistani government is not able to bring stability and prosperity to its people. Militants use this situation to recruit more Jihadis. It also recommends that America should not directly interfere in the tribal belt, as it would increase resentment, which will hurt America interests.
