Heavy-handed U.S. approach will alienate Pakistan

Foreign policy experts are advising US officials tone down their statements regarding Pakistan's new government intention to talk to militants. They are of the opinion that their heavy-handed approach will alienate a trusted ally in the region.
I agree with the assessments of these experts. These militants are not friends of Pakistan. They have been battling with security forces for a long time. During their fight they killed hundreds of Pakistani soldiers. Do the advisors sitting in the State Department think that Pakistan will soften its stance towards them ? No, they will not. They will do everything to wipe out these militants. They have stopped their activities due to heavy civilians causalities caused by US bombings. Pakistani governments are only addressing the concerns and desires of their people. Let them do that. American interference will only aggravate the situation.
