Commentary:Pakistan’s Planned Accord With Militants Alarms U.S.

ERIC SCHMITT and MARK MAZZETTI writes in the New York Times American officials are nervous over the ongoing negotiation between Pakistan government and militants. They are of the opinion that the leniency of the Islamabad government has resulted in increase in attacks in Afghanistan.
What is happening in Afghanistan is not Pakistan's concern. But we are witnessing a drop in attacks in tribal. It means the stance taking by government is working. I think situation will stabilize in the tribal areas. Pakistani establishment has realized that following American policy is causing death and destruction in Pakistan.
