Commentary: Israel Plans New Homes in East Jerusalem

Israel's Housing Ministry has said that they planned to build more than 300 new homes Har Homa. I think this is a provocative move by Israel. Any fool can see that Israel government wants to obstruct negotiations.
Meanwhile Palestinian have urged Ms. Rice to intervene and block this project. I know Americans will turn a deaf hear to their pleas. Israel has been developing Jewish neighborhoods in east Jerusalem. Neither world powers nor UN did anything to stop it.
The US administration should intervene in this otherwise it will wreck the peace process launched last week by US President Bush.
