Bush and democracy

U.S. President George W. Bush always spoke about bringing democracies in the Islamic world. He thought he could eliminate terrorism this way. However, desire to bring democracies in the Islamic countries is creating headaches for policy makers at the State Department.
American law makers raised hue and cry to bring democracy in Pakistan. Now it looks their plan has backfired. The new government in Islamabad is not willing to give them free hand in dealing with militants in Pakistan's tribal region like the dictator Musharraf.
This situation has confused them. The new government has refused to fight the war as per their instructions. Let us how Americans deal with this situation.
